Investigation of the combustion of exhaust gas recirculation in diesel engines with a particulate filter and selective catalytic reactor technologies for environmental gas reduction

The use of diesel engines has increased dramatically in recent years, as the number exhaust emissions. These emissions have potential to endanger Mother Nature and living species within it. Governments all over world introduced legislative rules on emission reduction order limit released into environment through global sustainable development technologies. This compelled automobile manufacturers create a variety systems, most important which are Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), Selective Catalytic Reactor (SCR). primary goal this research work is reduce engine gas by utilizing systems such DPF, EGR, SCR. Here, various combinations aforementioned were tested determine best possible combination that had greatest impact gases. depends performance what gases be eliminated, keeping EGR rate at an optimum value between 10% 20%. If preference given NOx, then we will combine 10–20% with SCR, but if HC, CO, soot, - 20% DPF. Overall, DPF + SCR rates seems appreciable result.
